Infant and Toddler Program

At Apple Tree we offer the very best in Early Childhood Education and our professionals believe in focusing on the needs of the “whole child” in every program that we offer.  The Infant and Toddler Program is available for ages 6 weeks to 2 years and 6 months and is designed to promote discovery and to give each child the very best start by following the appropriate practices through professional excellence.

Our infant-toddler child care program encourages safe exploration in soft, inviting, and language-rich environments. We also provide the care and nurturing that is vital to the security and social growth that is key to the infant and toddler’s happiness and social interaction each day.

Apple Tree’s curriculum includes a blend of teacher and child-directed activities, with an emphasis on children’s choices. We use the Creative Curriculum for Infants through PreSchoolers. This is the most widely used infant to preschool curriculum in the country. The parent company, Teaching Strategies, has designed this well-rounded and researched curriculum to prepare children for success in school and in life!  Throughout the day, there is a balance of quiet and active periods, including time outdoors. We focus on providing not just childcare for infants and toddlers, but an early education experience that gives them a head start in kindergarten and beyond.

Infants and toddlers’ activities progress from one-on-one teacher-infant interaction with feedings and naps as needed, to group activities planned within a structured schedule. Each child is assigned a primary caregiver with whom they form a close, trusting, and supportive relationship.
