Crack The Egg and Use The Shell: Gardening Fun For The Family
The egg shell is the best container to “start a seed.”
You and your child can start your seeds in an egg. If you take half of an egg shell, poke a small hole in the bottom, and fill it with soil – your seed can be poked into the soil and water as usual. You can set this egg “plant” in the egg carton and settle it on a windowsill and watch the seedling grow. Once the plant has grown – the entire egg shell can be placed into the ground for outdoor planting! More tips for starting seeds in egg shells.
